The author is honest and forthright about her position. A refreshingly open book about a passionate ideal. It spells out in detail the reasons for creating such a breed and a curious person will learn a lot. I recommend owning this book even if you do not have an Alsatian Shepalute companion dog, for it speaks from the heart and shares the love of dogs from one to another. There are minor grammatical/spelling mistakes from this down to earth book, but those who choose to overlook them will find quite a treasure of honest thinking.
